Polyethylene glycols are linear homopolymers of ethylene oxide. They are available in a molecular weight range of 200 to 35,000. The physico-chemical properties of polyethylene glycol are essentially determined by the two free hydroxyl groups and the ether oxygen atoms. PEG types from 1,500 to 35,000 are available as flakes (S) beyond it types 3,000 - 20,000 are also available as powder. Types 1,500 - 8,000 are also supplied to large-volume customers in heated tank lorries in the form of melts (FL).
