| In modern air traffic, the airlines take care that their aircraft can take off safely at any time - even in winter conditions with snow, freezing rain or hoarfrost. The airlines must, therefore, make sure that the aircraft's surfaces are free from ice and snow before take-off, since safety can only be assured if the aircraft's wings are aerodynamically clean for take-off. If they are iced-up, they no longer provide the aerodynamic conditions necessary for flying.
This is why Clariant has developed Safewing de-/anti-icing fluids, which fulfil all the necessary safety requirements.
