Soil Release Polymers

Soil Release Polymers (Texcare SRA & SRN)

Texcare SRA is an anionic Soil Release Polymer which was developed especially for detergent powder application.

Polyester fabrics or mixed fabrics containing polyester fibres are diffucult to clean because of their strongly hydrophobic character. Oily and fatty stains adhere effectively on such fibres and cannot be removed by the washing-liquor easily.

Soil Release Polymers out of Texcare series have been developed to protect the fibres of a polyester containing fabric with a polymetric film. The presence of this film reduces the affinity of oils and fats to deposit on the fabric surfaces and makes it easier to remove these stains during subsequentent washing.

Texcare SRN is a nonionic Soil Release Polymer which was developed especially for liquid detergent application.

Benefits & Applications of Soil Release Polymers:

  • Texcare SRA can be used in all kind of powder detergent formulations
  • Texcare SRN can be used in all kind of liquid detergent formulations
  • During a wash cycle removed soil can redeposite onto the fabric. This undesired effect results in a graying of the textiles. Texcare is used in detergents to reduce soil redeposition on syntetic fibres.
  • Even without a first "pre-wash" of the fabric to apply a Texcare SRN finish, soil is removed better from polyester and cotton/polyesteR
