These hydrophobically modified polymers are based on acrylamidomethylpropane sulfonic acid (AMPS) and salts
They are partially neutralized with ammonia

Suspension Concentrates for Crop Protection Formulations

Suspension Concentrates - also called flowables - are water-based pesticide formulations. Their advantages as liquid formulations are the absence
of dust and flammable liquids as well as their good efficiency due to the small particle size of the active ingredient. For the incorporation of a solid active ingredient into an aqueous phase several formulation ingredients are required: dispersants, wetting agents, defoamers, antifreeze agents and thickeners. Clariant offers solutions to most of these requirements, enabling our customers to develop their own SC formulations. (February 2004)
