| Solid active ingredients that cannot be diluted in a common solvent are sold as wettable powders which form a stable aqueous dispersion when mixed with water before being applied as a spray.
The auxiliaries used are powder type wetting and dispersing agents.
If the formulation is produced in granule-size particles, the formulation is called water-dispersable granule. The advantage of these products is the reduced inhalation hazard during application.
